Founded in 1924, a semi-professional football club, competing in the West of Scotland Football League 1st Division.
Thorniewood United Football Club, a semi-professional football club founded in 1924, is based in Viewpark, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The club plays its home matches at Robertson Park.
The club originally competed in local junior leagues and became a significant part of the Scottish Junior Football Association (SJFA). Throughout the early 2000s, Thorniewood United experienced several league restructurings and fluctuated between divisions. In the 2004-05 season, they were runners-up in the Central Division Two, earning promotion to Central Division One. By the 2007-08 season, they secured the Central League Division Two championship, moving back to Central Division One.
Off the pitch, the club has fostered a community spirit, and we are committed to continue to involve local supporters and the provide sporting opportunities to all children within the local community.This commitment to both sport and community has cemented Thorniewood United’s status as a respected club in North Lanarkshire and beyond.
